Grading Policy for Intermediate (4th & 5th Grade):
Students will receive three grades each semester; Effort/Participation, Fundamental Skills and Academic Knowledge. Their Effort/Participation grade will be based on their level of involvement during each PE class. Their Fundamental Skills grade will be based upon standard based grading for motor skills and movement patterns. And finally, their Health/Fitness Knowledge grade will be based upon question/answer sessions, observation, and PE portfolio assignments.

Grading Policy for Primary (1st, 2nd, 3rd Grade):
Students will receive two grades each semester; Effort/Participation and Fundamental Skills. Their Effort/Participation grade will be based on their level of involvement during each PE class. Their Fundamental Skills grade will be based upon standard based grading for motor skills and movement patterns.

*Please keep in mind that grading for PE will vary semester to semester dependent upon the given activities during that semester. Grading is not done on a year long continuum like the regular classroom subjects. Each grading period reflects a new area of skills, activities and fitness components.
