Weather Delay

In the event of a weather delay or closure, parents will be notified through an automated calling system (you may also receive these messages through text, see instructions below).  A message will appear on the district website - www.mlsd.org - as well.  Local TV stations will also list delays and closures - watch for Medical Lake School District.  

• In the event of a weather delay, school will start at 10:55 (Monday Through Friday)

• For a weather delay Monday through Thursday, buses will run two hours late.  (i.e. if the bus usually picks up at 8:15, it will pick up at 10:15)

Should a delay fall on a Friday, we will follow the delay schedule, NOT the Friday late start schedule.

• School will start at 10:55

• For a weather delay on Friday, buses will run one hour later than the usual Friday pick-up (i.e. if the bus usually picks up at 9:15, it will pick up at 10:15)

School will begin at 10:55, students may arrive no earlier than 10:35.

No Breakfast will be served at school

  • Add phone numbers or email addresses as you wish

• Each guardian must log into their own account to add numbers for text messages

• If you don’t know or remember your family access login information you may call the office (509-565-3600)

Dress for the Weather

As the weather begins to turn rainy and cold, a couple of reminders.  Please ensure your student comes to school prepared to be outside.  There are times that children will be outside in the rain and the snow. Please remember to send your student with adequate clothing for outdoor play.  Coat, snow pants (once the snow starts), hat, gloves, and boots are recommended.
