Hello, my name is Kora Crawford and I will be your child’s teacher this year. Here are some things I want to share with you!
I graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2019 with my BA in elementary education, and in 2022 with my MA in education, specializing in curriculum & instruction. (Go Eags!)
I jumped straight into teaching after graduating in 2019, becoming a substitute teacher for the Cheney and Medical Lake Districts. I have worked as leave replacement in long-term positions for fourth and third grade as well as taught Preschool here at Michael Anderson. I am excited to be in first grade this year!
I currently live in Spokane, and have one cat and a turtle. I also have more plants than can fit into my apartment, but I never say no to more. I’m from CA, and both my parents were in the military! I love baking, gardening, reading, swimming, and being outdoors whenever possible, especially in the Summer.
I have wanted to be a teacher since the fourth grade! I am passionate about learning, and love supporting others in their learning journeys. I’m looking forward to a great school year with your child, and appreciate your trust and support as they jump into first grade!
